To clean your aluminium gate :
Aluminium is a long-lasting, high-quality material that needs to be maintained for maximum longevity, but requires very little upkeep. Itâs a strong, robust, weather- and corrosion-resistant material thatâs durable and easy to maintain.
In order to preserve the original quality of your aluminium gate, we recommend that you follow these tips :
Cleaning frequency and method
Clean the gate twice a year, in autumn and spring (the temperature must not exceed 25 degrees during cleaning).
In addition, to avoid altering the decorative properties of aluminium, we recommend cleaning with mild soap (pH neutral), followed by rinsing with clear, lukewarm water and wiping with a soft, absorbent cloth.
Depending on the geographical area
However, depending on the geographical area, we recommend different approaches :
For rural areas, only 2 cleanings a year (spring and autumn) are required.
For marine, polluted or industrial areas, special attention should be paid, for example cleaning every 2-3 months.
In the event of construction work or unusual weather conditions, we recommend protecting your gate with a tarpaulin.
Powder coating and certifications
Our aluminium is powder-coated (a colouring and protection technique) that provides a hard surface and high resistance to corrosion.
Portail Packit works exclusively with Qualicoat and Qualimarine certifications, a recognised and controlled guarantee of quality.
Qualicoat
Qualicoat is an international label governing the surface preparation and powder-coating process for aluminium. It is the initiator of quality labels for aluminium surface treatment and is the global benchmark. It guarantees a high level of corrosion protection and optimum pre-treatment standards, while guaranteeing an infinite colour spectrum.
Qualimarine
Qualimarine is a traditional quality label that guarantees the aesthetic durability of works, UV resistance of colour and gloss, resistance to wear and tear, and the absence of filiform corrosion. These certified products are the benchmark for lacquered products on the market.
