All our products are made to order to avoid stock problems. Machining time for Packit elements varies between 6 and 10 working days.

The central end caps are not supplied for the following reasons:

  • It's very important that any water that enters the product (or condenses in it) can easily drain off at the bottom of the crosspieces. If the water remains, it could cause the profiles to shatter in severe frost.
  • On the other hand, the cap protrudes slightly and will prevent the central shoe (in the case of a gate) from operating properly.

We therefore do not recommend adding the central end caps at the bottom.

It depends on the model.

  • For an openwork design, motorize on the bottom rail, which is reinforced.
  • For a full motor, the bottom rail is also reinforced for this purpose. However, if you're exposed to the wind and wish to install the motor at half-height, insert a galvanized or aluminum plate in the filler slats.
  • For a semi-open system, you can install your operator on the reinforced intermediate crosspiece.

Use a tape measure to measure the width between pillars in 3 different places. Keep only the smallest measurement.

Find out more about cross-pillar measures

For swing gates and wicket doors, our installation accessories allow a width between pillars greater than that of the gate dimensions.

This value is 25 mm for wicket doors and 50 mm for gates. For example, for a gate initially designed for a pillar-to-pillar dimension of 3,000 mm, you can go up to 3,050 mm between pillars.

For sliding gates and swing gates, this value is plus or minus 50 mm. For example, for a gate initially designed for a pillar-to-pillar dimension of 3,000 mm, your pillar-to-pillar dimension may end up being between 2,950 mm and 3050 mm.

No need to panic! Simply use pliers to remove the screw from the upright.

All our aluminum gates can be motorized, whatever their opening system.

We offer two different motorization kits for sale, or a complete gate + motorization kit package!

The kit formula and its mechanical assembly allow you to replace any part of your gate, wicket or fence. Simply send us an e-mail and order the part you wish to change.

Don't hesitate to come back to us if you have any concerns. Our team will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Aluminum is a remarkable material for outdoor elements because, in addition to being modern, non-corrosive and durable, it requires very little maintenance.
Twice a year, wash your Packit element in clear water, using a microfiber cloth or non-abrasive sponge. For stubborn dirt, you can dilute a mild soap in the water.

Rinse and dry your element with a soft cloth.

Never use aluminum products for maintenance:

  • Products such as gasoline, acetone, alcohol or other stripping or corrosive agents.
  • Sanding sponges or abrasives
  • Pressurized jets

It's normal and desirable to have some resistance when screwing, otherwise the structure's strength will be compromised.

When the screw "jams", unscrew it 3 or 4 turns to release it, then screw it back in. As the screw gains inertia, it will go further. If necessary, repeat the process until the screw is fully tightened.

For 4.8 32 plug screws: re-drilling is necessary to "adjust" the alignment of the holes. Use the same procedure as above when the screw jams.

It depends on the model.

For an openwork design, motorize on the bottom rail, which is reinforced.

In the case of a semi-adjouré, it is reinforced on the intermediate crosspiece.

For a full or laser-cut, the bottom rail is reinforced. However, if you are exposed to the wind and wish to install the motor at mid-height, insert our automatic reinforcement into the slats.

For a SAH, you can either fix the brackets by drilling through a board, or insert our reinforcement into the board of your choice.

We don't supply the screws to fix the hinges, as we can't know the material of your hinge in advance.

On the other hand, for a concrete pillar, we can recommend the purchase of 8mm diameter dowels and fixing screws.

For aluminum posts, we recommend 8×20 through bolts or countersunk nuts.

We don't supply the end stop, because thanks to the design of our sliding gates, it's not necessary.

The space required corresponds to measurement D, which must be greater than or equal to 405mm.
