The central end caps at the bottom are not supplied for the following reasons:

  • It is very important that the water which enters the product (or which forms there by condensation) can easily flow out by the bottom of the sleepers. If the water remains, it could cause the profiles to burst in severe frost.
  • On the other hand, the cap protrudes slightly and will prevent the proper functioning of the central shoe (in the case of a gate).

We do not recommend adding the central end caps at the bottom.

It depends on the model.

  • For an openwork, motorize on the bottom rail, it is reinforced.
  • For a solid, the bottom rail is also reinforced for this purpose. However, in case of wind exposure and if you want to put the motor at half height, insert a galva or aluminum plate in the filling slats.
  • For a semi openwork, you can install your automatism on the intermediate crossbar, it is reinforced.

Measure your width between pillars at 3 different places with a tape measure. Keep only the smallest measurement.

For swing gates and wickets, our installation accessories allow a width between pillars greater than the dimensions of the gates.

This value is 25 mm for wickets and 50 mm for gates. For example, for a gate initially planned for a dimension between pillars of 3 000 mm, you have the possibility to go up to 3 050 mm between pillars.

For sliding gates and wickets, this value is plus or minus 50 mm. For example, for a gate initially planned for a pillar dimension of 3,000 mm, your pillar dimension may end up being between 2,950 mm and 3050 mm.

Aluminum is an outstanding material for outdoor elements because it is modern, non-corrosive, durable and low maintenance.
Twice a year, wash your Packit element with clear water, using a microfiber cloth or a non-abrasive sponge. In case of stubborn dirt, we can dilute a little mild soap in the water.

Rinse and wipe your element with a soft cloth.

Never use aluminum products for maintenance:

  • Products such as gasoline, acetone, alcohol or other stripping or corrosive agents.
  • Sanding sponges or abrasives
  • Pressurized jets

It is normal and desirable to have some resistance when screwing, otherwise the structure's performance would be compromised.

When the screw "blocks" while being screwed in, it is necessary to unscrew it 3 or 4 turns in order to free the screw, then screw it in again. By gaining inertia, the screw will go further. If necessary, start again until you can screw it all the way in.

Concerning the 4.8 32 screws of the plugs: re-drilling is necessary to "adjust" the alignment of the holes. The same procedure mentioned above should be used when the screw blocks.

It depends on the model.

For an openwork, motorize on the bottom rail, it is reinforced.

For a semi openwork, on the intermediate crosspiece, it is reinforced.

For a solid or laser cut, on the bottom rail, it is reinforced. However, in case of wind exposure and if you wish to put the motor at half height, insert our automatic reinforcement in the slats.

For a SAH you can either fix the legs by drilling through a board, or insert our reinforcement in the board of your choice.

We do not provide the screws to fix the hinges because we cannot know in advance the material of your pillar.

On the other hand, for a concrete pillar we can advise you to buy dowels and screws diameter 8mm.

For an aluminum post, we recommend 8×20 through bolts or countersunk nuts.

We do not supply the end stop because due to the design of our sliding gates, it is not necessary.

The space required corresponds to measurement D, which must be greater than or equal to 405mm.
